FREE FIRE WOOD AT COMPOST STATION
The Fishers Island Wastemangement District is giving back to the community by providing free split fire wood for your fireplace, wood stove, outdoor fire pit, beach fires/bonfires.
The wood is located by the Bulkyhouse hold and Metal drop off area. Please ask attendants before taking. Also please take small amounts as needed so that everyone gets to enjoy some. You can use the wood for your fireplace, wood stove, outdoor fire pit, or if you want to have a bonfire. The types of wood is all mix, from cherry trees, pine (better for outdoor use), locus, maple, etc. As you pick from the pile please try to keep it neat. thank you and enjoy.
